Suno is an ancient settlement of pre-Roman origin. Sited along the road to France known as Via Settimia, later Via Francigena, in the Middle Ages it was characterised by the erection of a Cathedral Church dedicated to San Genesio (St Genesius) of Arles. Today, Suno is a quiet small town lying among the hills of Novara and well known for its precious wines.
Among the many monuments worth visiting, we recommend the Church of Madonna della Neve (Our Lady of the Snow) and the Church of Santa Maria (St Mary), both featuring remarkable frescoes; the Parish Church of S. Genesio, and the Parish Church with the saint's chapel that is named "Scurolo".
