It has an ancient history. It initially was habituated by Ligurs, then by Celts and Romans. During more recent times it had been under Spanish and Austrian domains and was handed down to the Savoia later. Nowadays Boca is a quiet village rounded by vineyards and forests with beautiful mountains in the background. Only two things make it famous in the world: its wine D.O.C. and the monumental sanctuary constructed by Alessandro Antonelli, one of the most famous architects of the 19th century.
